Welcome to the web site of the Allderdice Swimming team. We train daily at our pool at Allderdice starting in November and continuing through early March. Throughout this time, we compete in weekly dual and tri-meets in the City League, the PIAA district of the Pittsburgh Public Schools, and also in non-City meets. Additionally, we host the Allderdice Invitational every January in which City League and WPIAL schools compete. Since 1999, our boys team has been City League champions, and our girls team has not lost a City Championship since 1977. In the 2006-07 season, we sent one swimmer, to the PIAA state championships.
2006-07 Season
The 2006-2007 season has now begun and practices are officially underway. We expect all swimmers to start coming to them as soon as possible. Because so many of our good swimmers graduated last year, we are looking for as many new swimmers as possible. So, for those who are interested, come check out the team at an after-school practice or talk with Coach Flynn (the last room on the left side of the fourth floor annex) and bring a friend or two. There are no try-outs so you don't have to be fast when you start out, you just need to know how to swim. See you at practices!
